ARROW by Design have been awarded a contract with the Church of England
ARROW by Design have been awarded a contract with the Church of England to carry out a number of audits on their churches. The work will help support the Church of England’s ambitious Net Zero Carbon Programme which aims to equip, resource and support all parts of the Church to reduce carbon emissions from the energy used in its buildings, schools and through work-related transport by 2030.
Alistair Fletcher (MD):
We are delighted to have been awarded this contract, our past experience of working in the historic sector with the National Trust is being built upon with this work and we look forward to working with the church in the forthcoming year.
Julian Atkins, Net Zero Programme Director, Church of England:
“The ambition to be net zero by 2030 is at the core of the Church of England’s response to the climate crisis to help safeguard God’s creation and achieve a just world.
“The first phase of our Net Zero Programme has a focus on reducing carbon emissions from our highest emitting buildings. Part of this work will include looking at the fabric of a building first. The energy audits will be a great starting point for churches to kickstart their net zero projects.”
