St Wilfrid’s Chapel

St Wilfrid’s Chapel is located at Brougham, the chapel was originally built as a chapel of ease for Brougham Hall. The current chapel was rebuilt in 1658. 

The report was commissioned to establish a basis for the future heating of the chapel. The ideal situation would be to remove the existing fossil fuel approach and replace with a form of renewables. The report investigated the opportunities in terms of technology, capital investment, running costs and maintenance. 

The aim of the report is to align to a budget for installation of a new heating, lighting and electrical system. The report has been developed to outline 6 options for heating: 

1. Servicing and retaining of the existing system 

2. Removing the existing system and providing no heating 

3. Ground source heat pump inc new radiator system 

4. Air source heat pump inc new radiator system 

5. BIO-LPG inc new radiator system 

6. Gas boiler inc new radiator system 

The report will also include:
